Ivelis Holt
A central Florida native, Ms. Holt completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida (“UCF”) where she graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor of Science of Legal Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. While attending UCF, Ms. Holt interned at a local plaintiff firm focusing on worker’s compensation, personal injury, and premises liability cases.
After graduating from UCF, Ms. Holt went on to attend Florida A&M University College of Law (“FAMU”) where she received her Juris Doctor degree. During her time in law school, Ms. Holt joined the firm full-time as a paralegal gaining tremendous legal experience with both premises liability and first-party property cases. After graduation, Ms. Holt was admitted to the Florida Bar and joined the firm as an associate attorney practicing civil litigation.
During the course of her distinguishable legal career, Ms. Holt has vigorously defended insurers, businesses, governmental entities, and individuals. She concentrates her practice in the defense of general liability and first party property claims. She has obtained numerous successful results at every stage of litigation, from early settlement, summary judgment, mediation, to defense verdicts at trial and at the appellate level. Ms. Holt has also volunteered and served as a Guardian Ad Litem advocating and protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children involved in dependency court proceedings.
Ms. Holt is a member of the Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, and the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida. She is admitted to practice in all Florida trial and appellate courts.
