Mr. Ambekar’s primary practice areas include representation of employer/carriers in workers’ compensation claims, including appeals and subrogation matters. He is admitted to practice in all Florida courts and the Middle District of Florida. His practice includes some of the more complex areas of workers’ compensation law, such as trucking claims and first responder cases brought under the Heart/Lung Bill. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Ambekar worked as a paralegal and law clerk in the workers’ compensation division of a statewide insurance defense firm. He has nearly 20 years of experience in workers’ compensation litigation.

Mr. Ambekar is the President of the Judge William Wieland American Inn of Court and a Program Chair for The Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Forum. He is a member of The Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section Executive Council and former chair of the Workers’ Compensation Rules Advisory Committee of The Florida Bar. He is also a past chair of the Orange County Bar Association workers’ compensation section. He is board certified in Workers’ Compensation Law. He has been named as a Best Lawyer in workers’ compensation since 2023. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.

Mr. Ambekar volunteers as a judge and jury advisor for the Orange County Teen Court program, and on the board of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund Orlando Division.

He was born in Yeovil, England, and has resided in Central Florida since 1996.
